Environmental Policy

COMES prioritizes environmental protection and carbon neutrality for a sustainable future. We aim to have a positive impact on the environment by reducing carbon emissions, increasing energy efficiency, and adopting eco-friendly management practices.

Objectives

  • Reduce carbon emissions : We aim to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
  • Improve energy efficiency : Maximize energy efficiency in all facilities and operations and expand the use of renewable energy sources.
  • Resource management : Promote the efficient use of resources and actively encourage recycling and reuse to minimize waste.
  • Sustainable supply chain : We prioritize purchasing eco-friendly products and services to reduce the environmental impact of our supply chain.

Map Emissions

Conduct environmental management in compliance with Environmental Policy, and reduce carbon emissions by 50% compared to 2022 in responding to a 1.5℃ scenario by 2030 to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

  • Replace fossil fuel driven vehicles to Eco-friendly(hybrid, electric, hydrogen) cars
  • Target to reduce fuel gas usage by 9% per annum in 2022
    Scope 2(Indirect Emissions)
  • Target to reduce energy usage by 8.5% per annum in 2022
  • Use energy-efficient lamps such as LED lightning in facilities
  • Turn off AC, lights and electronic machine when not needed

  • Encourage employees to use green transports to/from work

To mitigate future negative environmental development, forceful action needs to be taken now.

Therefore, COMES is committed to the 1.5℃ ambition and to halve our emissions to 2030 and reach Net-Zero emissions by 2050.
